Antique tiara symbolizes royalty and wealth but not similar to a crown. It is semicircular, can be worn on the head in many different ways. You can wear it low on the forehead or at the end of the head over the ears. It is circular. They are decorated with gems and with other precious metals but separated from the head. It is designed and made from different metals.  The tiara is originated from the crown in ancient times and continues in the 20^th century.

1. Antique tiaras:

• Humankind especially women desires to decorate their heads with different ornaments, to beautify themselves by wearing different unique and special Antique Tiara on the head. To decorate the head manifested from the flowers and feathers. In Greece, people used to decorate their heads with different olive wreaths. Laurel wreaths were introduced to the myrtle as a present. The wraths soon evolved into the crowns and tiaras. The Egyptians crowns were in many designs, shapes, and colors. They symbolize both political and critical religious views. Different artists from the Egyptian period identified different crowns that were introduced to the world in different periods.
• The wreaths were used to adore temples and shrines. They were mostly introduced in the gold, wheat for Demeter, olive branches for Athena, and oak for Jesus.
• The term Antique Tiara is originated from a Persian word and it symbolizes the headdresses of the kings usually wore for the royalty, respect in a combination with a diadem.
• The Romans were not good at designing so they made a sculpture of a woman wearing a golden bandeaux. This fashion came into being there was fall of the roman empire and the rise of Christianity take place.
• Tiaras were just designed in that era but not used to be worn.
• This royalty of wearing rings of leaves and flowers were so high in medieval society. The bride used to worn flowers or jewelry coronal on wedding attire.
• Art was disappeared from that era. People have no sense of what historical preservation has taken place.
• Later the narrow band of iron with about eight inches wide and has been forged with one of Jesus’s nails becomes the symbol of medieval Italy known as the iron crown of Lombardy.

 

2. 20^th century:

Two artistic styles were introduced for the decoration of arts and crafts. Interesting tiaras with a fashionable design and features results in the modern world. Platinum was introduced to the tiaras and allow the jewelers to create feathers with it. These platinum tiaras were highly valuable and resulted in the advancement of the family jewels. Antique Tiara was usually worn at the balls or formal parties, fine flowers vines were going on trending for the tiaras for decoration. Even short hairstyles were introduced for wearing antique tiaras.
